This house won’t be forgotten.
The iconic Illinois home featured in the 1990 holiday hit flick “Home Alone” is heading back to the future — with a makeover that restored it to movie-fame condition, ABC7 Eyewitness News reported.
The spacious, red-brick Colonial in the Chicago suburb of Winnetka, where Kevin McCallister was once forgotten and left to fend for himself in the popular film, underwent an interior renovation and was sold earlier this year in pristine shape, the outlet reported.

Anadolu Agency via Getty ImagesNews of the renovations come on the heels of “Home but Alone No More,” a memoir released this year by John Abendshien, the previous owner who recounted living inside with his family during filming.
“We had a large master bedroom suite that we converted into an apartment,” he told ABC. “As long as we kept out of the camera eye, we were free to roam and watch scenes as they were being filmed.”
