A 9-year-old girl shot in the head during a suspected road-rage attack in Houston is fighting for her life as relatives plead for the shooter to surrender.

Ashanti Grant remained in critical condition Thursday morning after she was struck by a bullet while headed to the grocery store with her parents and 12-year-old brother, Houston police spokesman John Cannon told The Post.

Relatives told KHOU Ashanti has some brain swelling, but they’re hopeful she will recover.

“Ashanti has a full life ahead of her and doesn’t deserve this at all,” uncle Larry Grant told the news station.

Police said she was in her family’s Chevrolet Tahoe late Tuesday when the vehicle somehow got in between two other cars racing on the Southwest Freeway.

The driver of a white GMC Denali pickup truck then opened fire on the SUV, striking Ashanti in the head, police said.

No arrests have been made, and her family is pleading for the shooter to surrender to cops.

“If anybody knows anything or sees anything, please step forward. Do it for Ashanti,” her uncle told news station KHOU.

Ashanti’s mother, father and brother were not hurt during the suspected road-rage gunfire. They were still by the girl’s bedside Wednesday at Texas Children’s Hospital, where she underwent surgery, according to KTRK.

“Meanwhile, this guy is still on the streets somewhere,” Ashanti’s grandmother, Elaine Williams. told the station. “He knows what he did. Somebody pick up the phone, even if you’re related to them. You have to think about this kid, and how we feel that she’s in the hospital fighting for her life. A bullet went in her head.”

Williams called on Brazoria County — where the girl lives and attends Savannah Lakes Elementary — to pray for her full recovery.

“You’re just numb,” Williams told KTRK. “You cry so much, there’s no more tears next. She’s the sweetest little angel … There’s nothing you can do but just pray and ask everybody else to pray for her.”

Cops believe the driver of the white GMC Denali was a man between the ages of 20 and 30, KTRK reported. He also had a female passenger in the vehicle, which had distinctive arrow marks on its rear blinkers, police have previously said.

“We’re going to do everything we can to find these individuals,” Houston police Lt. Ronald Willkens told KHOU late Tuesday.

A $5,000 reward is being offered by Crime Stoppers of Houston for information leading to an arrest. Ashanti’s family, meanwhile, is willing to double that amount to track down the shooter, KHOU reported.

An online fundraiser set up for Ashanti had garnered more than $3,900 as of Thursday morning.

“This will be a long road to recovery for her,” the girl’s aunt NaTasha Grant wrote. “Funds will be sent directly to her family to cover any medical/recovery expenses that she will need to get back to her life.”
