There’s nothing great about this Gatsby.
A thief known as the “Gatsby bandit” is being sought by the FBI for knocking over a Queens bank and robbing two other financial institutions – one of them at gunpoint.
On May 16, the suspect, sporting a tan Gatsby cap, black framed glasses, black coat and blue pants, strolled inside the Astoria Federal Savings Bank at 72-35 Broadway in Woodside and passed a teller a note demanding money.
After receiving cash, he ran out of the bank.
The crook is also being eyed in two other Queens robberies — Santander Bank at 83-20 Roosevelt Avenue and Investors Bank at 31-01 Broadway.
He may have flashed a gun in the May 7 heist.
Anyone with information is urged to call the FBI at 212-384-1000. All calls are confidential.
