The FBI has recovered personal e-mails that Hillary Rodham Clinton had deleted from the private computer server she used during her time as secretary of state, according to a new report.
This raises the possibility that more e-mails could come to light — and the Democratic presidential candidate may have mishandled classified information, according to Bloomberg Politics.
The FBI is investigating whether any classified material was disseminated in the e-mails.
The probe probably will take at least several more months, Bloomberg reported.
Meanwhile, more previously undisclosed State Department e-mails related to the Benghazi, Libya, terror attack have surfaced in a federal-court filing, according to Politico.
The e-mail disclosure stems from a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit brought by the conservative group Citizens United.
About a dozen Benghazi-related e-mails withheld from the House Select Committee on Benghazi have now emerged.
The committee is investigating the State Department’s response to the 2012 attack, in which US Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three others were killed.
The committee will take public testimony from Clinton on Oct. 22.
