Feds are closing in on the bandits behind the biggest art heist in US history, with the FBI having ID’d the suspects in the $500 million haul from Boston’s Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in 1990.
The announcement was made on the 23rd anniversary of the legendary art theft, but officials did not name any suspects for fear of compromising the investigation.
The still-unrecovered rare works — which include paintings and drawings by Rembrandt, Manet and Vermeer — are believed to be in the Northeast.
Officials are offering a $5 million reward to anyone who can help find them.
