Now that’s a ’cane-do attitude.

This poor cat was left swimming — then clinging — for its life during Hurricane Florence, after the Northeast Cape Fear River burst its banks in Burgaw, NC.

Thanks to luck and pluck, it was able to hold on to the side of a trailer long enough for help to arrive.

The Cape Fear River, meanwhile, has continued to swell from the hurricane’s record rainfalls.

In Burgaw, hometown to this little kitty, the river was expected to crest this week at 24 feet above normal.

In Fayetteville, the river crested this week at 61 feet above normal levels.
