This kitty ain’t no scaredy cat.

A photo posted online by cops in Texas shows an incredible staredown between a “fearless” feline and a rattlesnake — with the creatures sitting mere inches away from each other.

The image was released by the Laguna Vista Police Department last week and has been shared by thousands of Facebook users.

Many have been divided on who got the better of the encounter, but most have applauded the cat for his “don’t care” attitude.

“He looks like he’s thinking, ‘Dude…suck that tongue back in your tiny head. I’VE got nine lives…you’ve got one…which you’re about to lose,'” wrote one user.

“THAT is a ballsy cat!” another added.

The picture was originally posted alongside several other photos of the snake, after it was caught by officers near a local walking trail.

“Generally, rattlesnakes emerge from hibernation in March or April, or when the average daytime temperatures reach and remain about 60F and higher,” authorities wrote in the description.

The police department posted a better shot of the showdown a day later, dubbing the kitty the “Fearless Laguna Vista Cat.”

Laguna Vista sits at the southern tip of Texas, and is roughly six hours away from Houston.

The area is said to be a hotbed for rattlesnakes in the summer months.
