Federal judges are fuming over Supreme Court rulings that side with the Trump administration and offer little explanation for the decision — with some jurists arguing that the practice is putting their lives in danger.

Ten out of 12 judges who spoke to NBC News argued that the high court should offer more of an explanation when overturning lower-court rulings in response to emergency requests from the Trump administration.

The high-profile cases are often marked by Trump and top administration officials lashing out at the lower court judges, before their rulings are overturned by the Supreme Court in brief orders — a practice, some federal judges say, implies the lower courts were biased against the president and did a poor job handling the case.

“It is inexcusable,” one anonymous judge said of the Supreme Court justices. “They don’t have our backs.”

“Somebody is going to die,” the same judge added, noting that they’ve received threats of violence in response to recent cases.

Earlier this year, Trump described Washington, DC-based District Judge James Boasberg as a “Radical Left Lunatic” and called for his impeachment, in a Truth Social post, over the judge’s decision to block deportation flights to El Salvador under the Alien Enemies Act.

White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller has described lower court efforts to block Trump’s tariff agenda as a “judicial coup.”

In a rare rebuke, Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts scolded Trump over his criticism of Boasberg, arguing that it was “not an appropriate response.”

District and appeals court judges are being “thrown under the bus” by the Supreme Court, a second judge argued.

The judge said the justices are effectively assisting the Trump administration in “undermining the lower courts.”

“It’s almost like the Supreme Court is saying it is a ‘judicial coup,’” the judge added, referring to Miller’s criticism of the lower courts.

An appointee of former President Barack Obama, however, admitted that several lower court rulings against Trump have been out of line.

“The whole ‘Trump derangement syndrome’ is a real issue,” the judge told the outlet. “As a result, judges are mad at what Trump is doing or the manner he is going about things; they are sometimes forgetting to stay in their lane.”
