Fidel Castro’s death set off nine days of public mourning in Cuba on Saturday as the revolutionary leader’s remains are set to go on a procession through the country. Castro was to have been cremated Saturday, with his ashes slated for burial Dec. 4 in the city of Santiago.
On Wednesday, Castro’s ashes will start a cross-country tour from Havana to Santiago, retracing in reverse the route Castro took when the revolution triumphed in 1959.
