A massive fire broke out in a building near a famous opera house in Paris on Saturday, sending large clouds of smoke rising into the air.

The blaze erupted along Boulevard des Capucines, near the Place de L’Opera square in central Paris and the iconic Palais Garnier opera house. Videos and images shared on Twitter showed the smoke towering over the French capital.

There have been no reports of casualties or injuries, as of Saturday evening.

“Firemen are intervening, avoid the area,” the Prefecture de Police said in a statement on Twitter.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
