This Florida fisherman caught more than he was angling for.

Mark Quartiano, who is known as “Mark the Shark,” was fishing off the coast of Miami on Wednesday when he reeled in a submerged package covered in barnacles. To his surprise, the catch was a brick, or kilogram, of cocaine.

“Lo and behold, it was one of those square grouper,” he jokingly told news station WPLG.

The high-profile fisherman, who has more than 60,000 followers on Instagram, shared a video on Thursday of his catch of the day.

This wasn’t the first time Quartiano has found contraband out on the high seas. He also claims to have come across barrels of marijuana, but said the cocaine was “pretty rare.”

When he got back to shore, Quartiano turned in his catch to the US Coast Guard.

“Only in Miami,” he told news station WFLA.
