Five members of a Washington state family were found dead Sunday in an apparent murder-suicide after someone told police one of the relatives texted them saying they had “harmed others” at the home.

Clark County sheriff’s deputies were called to the northeast Vancouver home for a welfare check about 1 p.m. Sunday after a person close to the family requested one, authorities said.

The unidentified caller told cops they had received a text message from a member of the family saying they had “harmed others” inside the house, KPTV reported.

When deputies arrived and were unable to contact anyone inside, they called for backup from a tactical team, officials said.

Using a flying drone, deputies were able to determine that several people inside the home were likely dead, authorities said.

Tactical teams and emergency medics busted into the house and found five people fatally shot.

The deaths appeared to be a murder-suicide, deputies said.

The suspected killer was found alongside their four deceased relatives, they said.
