Five people were hurt in overnight shootings across the city, the NYPD said.

The latest wave of violence began 7 p.m. Friday, when a man was shot in the leg during an attempted robbery in front of 142-06 Horace Harding Expressway in Queens. Two men, who were described as Hispanic, fled in a car. The victim, 55, was taken to New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital and is expected to survive.

At 9 p.m. in Upper Manhattan, a man was shot in the abdomen by two thieves who snatched his book bag, cops said. The victim, 34, was in stable condition at Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital.

An hour later in Brooklyn, an 18-year-old was shot in the arm at 542 Flushing Ave. He was taken to Woodhull Hospital in stable condition.

And around 3 a.m. Saturday, two victims, a 39-year-old man shot in the chest and a 22-year-old man shot in the arm, arrived at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, the NYPD said.

They were injured during a fight at East 79th Street and Glenwood Road in Canarsie and are expected to survive. The NYPD said it did not have a description of a suspect.
