The Florida high school where a former student killed 17 people in a hail of gunfire last month has been plagued by threats, students with knives and a sleeping sheriff’s deputy parked outside over the last two days, according to a report.
Two students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School were arrested Tuesday for bringing weapons to school and a third was involuntarily committed for making threats on social media — while a sheriff’s officer was suspended for falling asleep on the job, WSVN-TV reported.
One student brought a knife, while another brought a razor blade, the outlet reported.
The third student was committed for a psychological evaluation after posting a photo of a gun and bullets on Snapchat.
And the Broward County Sheriff’s office suspended Deputy Moises Carotti with pay, because a student caught him snoozing in his patrol car at 5 p.m. Monday when he was supposed to be patrolling the building where Nikolas Cruz allegedly shot 17 to death on Feb. 14.
