Former national security adviser Mike Flynn received highly classified intelligence briefings in January, even as senior officials were convinced he could be subject to blackmail by the Russians, it was revealed Tuesday.
Officials at the FBI, CIA, Justice Department and Office of Director of National Intelligence all believed Flynn was an urgent problem during his three weeks in the White House, according to the New York Times.
Despite this knowledge, Flynn sat in on sensitive intelligence briefings that CIA Director Mike Pompeo gave to President Trump.
