The former home of brutal Austrian monster Josef Fritzl — who imprisoned and raped his daughter for decades — will now be a haven for refugees, Austrian officials said.

Local officials in Lower Austria failed to find a buyer due to the house’s grim history, and according to local media reports, were having trouble housing the more than 20,000 migrants who entered Austria this week alone.

While residents in Amstetten are displeased with the plan, the deputy mayor says it’s pragmatic.

“We are getting a container here which will offer 150 beds for asylum seekers. By doing so, we will have fulfilled our quota,” Michael Wiesner told local media.

The cellar of the house, where Fritzl brutalized his daughter and their resulting children for 24 years, has been filled with cement to deter macabre tourists.

Fritzl, now 80, remains housed at the nearby Stein prison. He was arrested in 2008, and is serving life in prison.
