Howard Schultz, the billionaire former CEO of Starbucks, is joining the more than one-dozen people who are eyeing a run against President Trump in 2020.

In an interview to be aired on “60 Minutes’’ on Sunday, Schultz said the president is “not qualified’’ for his job and practices “revenge politics,’’ according to Atlantic magazine.

Schultz, 65 and a life-long Democrat, says in the interview he would run as an independent.

That strikes fear into Democrats who worry that would split the anti-Trump vote and lead to his re-election, the report says.

“Howard Schultz could secure Trump’s re-election,” complained Tina Podlowski, the Washington State Democratic chair.

“This worst-case scenario keeps me up at night,” she wrote in a recent fundraising e-mail.

“He’s Ralph Nader without any of Nader’s redeeming qualities,” a Democratic strategist complained to the magazine. “What’s his value proposition for America? Make America like a corporate chain?”

Schultz is worth an estimated $3.3 billion, the magazine said.

He has begun hiring consultants, including Steve Schmidt, the 2008 campaign manager for John McCain, the magazine said.
