A woman serving a life sentence in Tennessee for killing a john when she was a 16-year-old prostitute cannot be paroled for another 51 years, the state’s highest court ruled last week.

Cyntoia Brown, 30, fatally shot Johnny Mitchell Allen, a 43-year-old real-estate agent, in 2004.

Her case has attracted the support of celebrities including Kim Kardashian, Rihanna and others who think she ought to be sprung.

Brown claims she was forced into prostitution after a difficult childhood.

She maintains she shot Allen after he solicited her for sex and drove her to his home. She testified she saw a gun cabinet in his bedroom.

When he seemed to reach under the bed, she believed he was about to draw a gun and kill her, she said. Then she took her own gun out of her purse and killed him.

Prosecutors say she shot him to rob him and not because she thought she was in danger.

She was tried as an adult and sentenced to life in prison.

In a hearing, the Board of Parole was split — two voted for clemency, two to deny it and two to make her eligible for parole after serving 25 years.
