Police-shooting victim Philando Castile was laid to rest in Minnesota on Thursday, as Dallas Sgt. Michael Smith, one of the officers killed by a cop-hating madman, was buried in Texas.
Castile’s casket was carried through St. Paul in a horse-drawn carriage. Philando, who was black, was killed by a white cop during a routine traffic stop.
His death, and that of another black man, Alton Sterling, by police in Louisiana, sparked national protests.
The deaths also led Micah Johnson on a racist rampage on July 7 that left five Dallas cops, including Smith, dead.
