Gavin Newsom’s wife, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, jetted to Italy this week for a whirlwind junket that included an “incredible conversation” about gender with Italian senator Filippo Sensi.

Flanked by aides, Sensi sat arms crossed before gesticulating forcefully at Siebel Newsom’s talking points about gender-based violence and the plight of boys.

“I”m so grateful for the dialogue and excited about what we can continue to build together,” Siebel Newsom said in a video posted to Instagram.

Other videos posted to social media show Siebel Newsom visiting the Pulicaro Family Farm on the “stunning Italian countryside,” focused on regenerative farming.

She popped over to Solomeo, the home base of posh designer Bruno Cuccinelli, and gushed over “human-centered capitalism” on display in the tiny Italian village.

“Here, career, community and human dignity coexist,” Siebel Newsom shared on Instagram. “While we share similar values in California, we do need more human and climate-centered capitalist models like this one.”

Siebel Newsom’s office said the trip was funded by the California State Protocol Foundation, a nonprofit that helps to pay for diplomatic missions.

“The First Partner traveled to Italy to meet with leaders on her key priorities, including gender issues, agriculture, and child wellbeing. During the trip, she met with Cardinal Peter Turkson, Chancellor of the Pontifical Academy of Sciences, and attended a General Assembly with Pope Leo XIV,” said spokesperson Mackenzie Smith.
