George Floyd’s brother is tired of seeing black men killed, he said in a tearful interview Thursday.

Philonise Floyd, whose brother died after a white police officer pinned him down with a knee to his neck, told CNN that he also wants protesters outraged by his brother’s death to remain peaceful, but shares their pain, and “can’t stop people right now.”

“They’re doing everything positive and nobody’s listening, and all of a sudden they just start acting out,” Philonise Floyd said. “I want everybody to be peaceful right now, but people are torn and hurt because they’re tired of seeing black men die, constantly, over and over again.”

“And I understand, and I see why a lot of people doing a lot of different things around the world. I don’t want them to lash out like this,” he added. “But I can’t stop people right now, because they have pain. They have the same pain that I feel. I want everything to be peaceful, but I can’t make everybody be peaceful.”

He spoke as the outrage over George Floyd’s following an encounter with Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin and three other cops spilled into the streets, with angry protesters targeting a police precinct and local stores.

Floyd’s death is now being investigated by the FBI, DOJ and state authorities.

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey this week fired all four officers involved in the incident, and on Wednesday called for Chauvin to be arrested.

Also Wednesday, President Trump called for an “expedited” federal probe into Floyd’s death.

“To the police, I want them to get everything right,” Philonise Floyd said on CNN. “Start dong their job the right way, because I haven’t been seeing it. Years and years down the line, I haven’t been seeing it at all. I’m tired of seeing black men die. Black lives matter too.”

He then broke down in tears.

“I want justice,” he said. “I just want justice.”
