Peekaboo!

Former president George W. Bush — like him or not — can be awkwardly adorable at times, and he proved it yet again on Friday as he was caught tussling with a poncho during Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony.

The scuffle quickly lit up social media, with countless users posting clips of the 70-year-old going toe-to-toe with his plastic foe throughout the day.

“The best thing I’ve seen from today’s inauguration was definitely George W Bush trying to figure out a rain poncho,” wrote one Twitter user.

“George W. Bush in a rain poncho was an image I didn’t know I needed,” another tweeted.

As the hilarious scene unfolded, former vice president Dick Cheney — like any good sidekick — jumped in to save the day and helped Bush wrestle the poncho out of his face and into submission.

People online couldn’t help but poke fun at the wacky pair and Bush’s unabashed behavior.

“Bush still looking for Iraq’s WMDs. Cheney knows they don’t exist,” joked one Twitter user.

Another wrote, “Cheney looks pleased at GWB’s poncho difficulties.”
