Dramatic bodycam video shows cops smashing the window of a deadly hot car in Georgia to rescue two toddlers who were locked inside.
The young children were trapped in the vehicle, where temperatures reached 117 degrees, for more than 40 minutes outside Cumberland Mall in Atlanta last month before a passerby called 911, according to FOX 5 Atlanta.

J’quawn Dixon was arrested once he came back outside and police have charged him with two felony counts of second-degree child cruelty. Cobb County Police Department“The windows are cracked, but I don’t think that’s right. We just came out of Dick’s and I heard kids crying,” the woman told the dispatcher.
Police smashed the car’s driver side window and pulled the kids from the triple digit heat, according to police body camera footage published by KGNS TV.
“It’s ok, baby. Oh you’re hot,” an officer tells one of the tots during the heart-wrenching rescue.
J’quawn Dixon was arrested after he returned from inside the mall and was charged with two felony counts of child cruelty.
His relationship to the children was not immediately clear.

Officers arrived quickly, unlocked the car after shattering the driver’s window and pulled the children out. Cobb County Police DepartmentTemps hit a high of 87 degrees on the day the kids were trapped in the car, but an infrared thermometer showed it was up to 117 degrees inside the vehicle, police said.
“A big THANK YOU to the concerned citizens who called 911. Your quick action is the reason these kids are safe today,” Cobb County police wrote on Facebook. “You saw something and did something, and that made all the difference.”
Dixon was booked into the Cobb County Jail on a $10,000 bond and was released the next day, FOX 5 reported.
