An employee at a German hospital went on a stabbing rampage at work, murdering four patients and seriously injuring another, reports said.

The woman, 51, was detained after the victims were discovered around 9 p.m. Wednesday in several rooms at the Oberlin Clinic, a specialist orthopedic center in Potsdam near Berlin, police said.

Herbst said the detained staffer was “urgently suspected” of the killings.

Police have not released information about her identity or a motive.
