A tone-deaf Ghislaine Maxwell says the young women she sex-trafficked to Jeffrey Epstein should turn their anger on authorities — who “allowed” the notorious pedophile to kill himself in custody.
The 61-year-old madam ignored the chance to apologize to the pair’s victims during an interview from the cushy Florida federal prison where she is serving 20 years for helping her perverted ex abuse them.
Instead, during her chat with Britain’s TalkTV, Maxwell appeared to try to divert attention to the scandal of Epstein’s suicide.
Maxwell, who was filmed talking into a prison phone, was given the chance to say she was sorry to the victims. But she only responded, “I say that Epstein died, and they should take their disappointment and upset out on the authorities who allowed that to happen.
“And, as I said, I hope that they have some closure by the judicial process that took place,” she said during the interview, which aired Monday.
Maxwell diverted blame while speaking to the UK’s TalkTV from her federal prison in Florida. TalkTVFurther fueling conspiracy theories about Epstein’s August 2019 suicide in a Manhattan lockup, Maxwell added, “I believe that he was murdered.
“I was shocked,” she said of her former bestie’s death. “Then I wondered how it had happened. Because as far as I was concerned, he was going to, I was sure he was going to appeal. And I was sure he was covered under the non-prosecution agreement.”
Asked if she felt she also was a victim of Epstein’s, Maxwell replied, “Well, I don’t actually love the use of the word ‘victim’ per se because I think it’s used a lot and bandied about a lot.
“But clearly my association by the fact that I worked for him and spent time with him and knew him has devastated my life and hurt many people that I love and hold dear around me.
“I honestly wish I never met him,” Maxwell added.

Epstein died while was awaiting trial on serious sex charges in the case.
In an earlier interview — in which she also recalled her “special friendship” with former President Bill Clinton — Maxwell claimed that ex-lover Epstein’s “unexplained death is profoundly suspicious.”
The convicted madam said she feels “completely divorced from the person” portrayed in public. TalkTVIn the TalkTV interview, Maxwell seemed to want everyone to know that she is nothing like the way she has been portrayed in public.
“I feel completely divorced from the person that people referenced and talk about in all the various newspaper articles and TV shows and podcasts,” she maintained, speaking with a slight lisp.
Maxwell also discussed other conspiracy theories in her background — including the now-notorious photo of her with close pal Prince Andrew and the sex accuser he settled with, Virginia Roberts Giuffre.
The fallen socialite claimed that the photo is a fake, as her palace pal also alleged during a disastrous BBC interview that led to him being booted from royal duties.
Maxwell backed Prince Andrew’s wild allegations that the photo of him with his then-teen sex accuser is “a fake.” US District Court – Southern District“It is a fake. I don’t believe it is real for a second — in fact I am sure it is not,” Maxwell said of the infamous snap.
“There’s never been an original. … I’ve only seen a photocopy of it,” she claimed.
The interview comes amid reports that Andrew has consulted lawyers to see if he can overturn his settlement with Giuffre, who dropped a similar claim against lawyer Alan Dershowitz, admitting she “may have made a mistake.”
“I can tell you with confidence that Prince Andrew’s team is now considering legal options,” a source told the Mail on Sunday.
“This isn’t about the money. He wants a route back to some sort of normality after a deeply trying period,” the source said.
In her TalkTV interview, Maxwell said her royal pal should be “uplifted” by the collapse of the Dershowitz case, according to the Telegraph.
Andrew is reportedly hoping to fight back and overturn his settlement with his accuser. Samir Hussein/WireImage“[Giuffre’s] story frankly has changed multiple times. It’s very hard to know really what’s true or not,” Maxwell reportedly said of the key accuser.
Giuffre repeatedly accused Maxwell and Epstein of making her have sex with Andrew at least three times, starting when she was 17 in 2001.
The prince has repeatedly denied her allegations but agreed as part of his settlement to no longer accuse her of lying.
At times, during her interview, Maxwell sounded like any other typical convict, griping about prison life, including the food.
“When, like me, you’re on a no-meat diet, you’re supposed to have either hummus or cottage cheese or tofu for you, but most of the time, I’d say about 95 percent, it’s tofu if it’s anything, or beans,” Maxwell complained. “Ninety-five percent, it’s beans, or otherwise you have a tofu substitute. And then the tofu has no seasoning, there’s no seasoning allowed. No salt or pepper or anything. So it’s beyond tasteless.”
But it was clear she is no ordinary criminal, as she also discussed meeting Queen Elizabeth II.
“I thought that the queen was one of the most exceptional women I ever had the honour and privilege of briefly meeting, and I think anybody of her stature, the longevity of her reign, her elegance and her sheer capacity for dedication to her work and to her job, really was just astonishing,” Maxwell said.
“The story that we shared was about horses because I love horses and she loves horses and so we talked about horses briefly.”
