Gillibrand’s tearful tale
An emotional Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand broke down in tears yesterday during testimony on Hurricane Sandy, as she told her Senate colleagues about the terrible moment when floodwaters snatched two small brothers from the arms of their helpless mother on Staten Island.
Gillibrand described the tale of Glenda Moore, whose sons, 2 and 4, were pulled from her by raging floodwaters at the height of the storm and drowned.
