Gloria Steinem has put a feminist spin on Joe Biden’s would-be run for president.
“I was listening to him talk about his son, his family, his son’s death, should he run, should he not run,” she told Gayle King at an event for AOL’s Makers. “I thought, ‘If he was a woman, they would never forgive him for that discussion.’ They would say, ‘He’s not fit to be president.’ So there’s still a double standard there.”
Biden ended the speculation Wednesday.
Steinem’s new Random House book, “My Life on the Road,” follows her politically informed travels.
