A West Virginia grandma allegedly tried smuggling drugs to her incarcerated grandson — and ended up behind bars, too.

Carolyn Lou Gay, 64, was arrested Wednesday after authorities said she brought contraband to Eastern Regional Jail during a visit, the Herald-Mail reported.

Police said Gay tried to sneak her grandson, Shawn Weister, drugs — including pot, cocaine and heroin — through 22 heat-sealed drinking straws. She also reportedly brought hypodermic needles and tobacco.

A correctional officer discovered the contraband after telling Weister that after the visit he would be searched.

“Run Granny, they got me,” Weister said to the 64 year old, according to court records.

Gay was arrested and charged with 15 counts of bringing drugs and dangerous weapons to ail. She was held in jail on $250,000 bail.
