Will dumb TikTok trends never end?

First came the flammable penny fad and the “skull-breaker” challenge, then there was the deadly Benadryl challenge — and now there’s the “Gen Z” tattoo trend.

Thousands of TikTok teens inked themselves with a design they thought proclaimed their generation, only to be told the design originated with the Nazis.

In a video that has now been made private, but obtained by The Sun, a user called “smoothavocado” told her followers “everyone in Generation Z — born between 1997 and 2012 — should get a matching tattoo. She posted a picture of what she wanted it to look like — not knowing that it had a horrible historic meaning.”

“What if, now hear me out … we all got a matching tattoo, not only a symbol of unity in our generation but also as a sign of rebellion,” the young woman said in the video, according to the paper.

She later posted a second video that noted: “Yeah maybe don’t … let’s find a different symbol.”

After social media was flooded with pictures of people proudly bearing their new tattoo, Twitter user @Dzikijoseph warned: “a lot of people want to get this gen z tattoo thinking that it’s cool but i would strongly advise u not to make this tattoo bc it looks very similar to the nazist ‘wolfsangel’ symbol.”
