A dead body was discovered at the Harvard School of Dentistry — along with a small bag containing some sort of chemical — which sparked a hazmat response on Friday morning, cops said.
Firefighters in protective suits rushed to the Boston school at around 10 a.m. after receiving a call about a deceased man being found in a lab, according to authorities.
The potentially hazardous substance that was near him was not immediately identified, but was alarming enough to trigger the response, local police told The Post.
More than a dozen fire trucks were spotted at the school, located on Longwood Avenue, as the hazmat team investigated.
The body was found inside one of its labs — sparking an evacuation and “Level 3” response — just one day after Harvard’s graduation for the Dental and Medical School.
Authorities believe the man died overnight. It’s unclear if he was a student or simply worked at the school.
There was still no word on the cause of death as of 1 p.m. Friday.
Fire officials told Boston 25 News that the body will be decontaminated before the autopsy is performed.
