A hare-raising video captured a man rescuing a rabbit from the California wildfire — and now he’s being hailed as a hero as the footage of the noble act goes viral.

A news photographer filmed the daring rescue Wednesday night along Highway 1 in La Conchita, KABC reported.

The man, who wouldn’t give his name, jumped up and down in a panic when he saw the bunny bolting near the encroaching blaze.

When the furry creature emerged from the flames, he scooped it up and held it in an effort to calm it down.

As the heart-warming video spread across social media, people took notice and cheered his efforts.

“His panic is heartbreaking! He was desperate to save the poor little critter!! I’m so happy he stopped and was able to help the rabbit,” @mitzi0506 tweeted.
