An Idaho man saved an accident victim’s life by pulling him out of an SUV as it dangled on the edge of a cliff — but didn’t stick around to bask in the spotlight because he had to rush back to work.

Jason Warnock, 29, didn’t think twice about rescuing Matthew Sitko, 23, Wednesday morning, but the hero’s identity remained a mystery for a full day after his heroics.

“He said he had to go — and he left,” Lewiston Police Officer Eric Olson recalled.

The courageous feat was captured in a dramatic photo published in the Lewiston Tribune.

After Warnock was identified, he told cops he was driving along and suddenly spotted the 2000 GMC Yukon at the cliff’s edge.

He ran up to the vehicle, told the panicked Sitko to open the window and then hauled him to safety.

Only a chain-link fence kept the car from plunging 30 feet into a canyon below.

A grateful Sitko, who cops said was driving erratically before the crash, took to Facebook to offer thanks.

“Good morning everyone! I am truly blessed by God today!! Thank you God & Jesus for taking care of me!! I love you,” he wrote.

Cops praised the modest hero “for his quick and decisive actions.’’
