PHILADELPHIA — A belt buckle saved a Philadelphia grocery worker by stopping a stray bullet that hit him from a shootout outside, police said.

Bienvenido Reynoso, 38, who hit the ground after hearing shots, didn’t realize he was struck — until someone pointed out a hole in his shirt and he found the bullet in his belt buckle.

“That has to be God,” said co-worker Christian Vinas. “Out of all the places you could get hit . . . It was truly amazing.”
