An Arizona woman went missing over the weekend after going for a hike in the California desert, where temperatures climbed to more than 100 degrees, authorities said.

Barbara Thomas, 69, got separated from her husband on Friday while the two were hiking in the Mojave Desert about 20 miles north of a freeway that passes through San Bernardino, police said.

Thomas was last seen wearing a black bikini, red baseball hat and tan hiking boots, cops said.

Temps in the region hit 100 degrees over the weekend and are expected to remain in the triple digits throughout the week.

Thomas does not have proper supplies for the heat, officials said.
