WASHINGTON — Hillary Rodham Clinton is being coy over whether she supports a $15 minimum wage.
A labor activist who attended a Detroit “Fight for $15” conference that Clinton addressed Sunday said he believes she’s on board.
“If she didn’t support a $15 minimum wage, she would have never participated,” said the Rev. W.J. Rideout III, a Detroit pastor.
But Clinton’s remarks at the event left room for interpretation.
“I want to be your champion. I want to fight with you every day,” she said.
The Clinton camp didn’t respond to requests to clarify whether she explicitly backs a $15 minimum wage.
