ALEXANDRIA, Va. — An emboldened Hillary Rodham Clinton took a victory lap Friday following her lengthy appearance before the House Benghazi committee as a new poll showed her moving ahead of chief Democratic rival Bernie Sanders in Iowa.

“You want to talk about a fighter — how about those 11 hours of testimony yesterday?” Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe told a Clinton campaign rally at Alexandria City Hall.

A Quinnipiac University poll found Clinton led 51-40 percent in Iowa.
