A homeless man was arrested after scaling a nearly 11-foot barbed-wire fence at Los Angeles International Airport — and bolting onto a runway to do push-ups, according to reports.

The man, identified by reports as 23-year-old Luis Aguilar, made the move about 1:40 p.m. Monday just as a Delta Airlines plane prepared for takeoff.

Aguilar was quickly nabbed by police before stunned passengers aboard the flight.

“Airport Police observed a male scale the outer perimeter fence at Lincoln near Sepulveda,” Los Angeles Airport Police spokesman Rob Pedregon said, according to ABC News. “Units converged on the man who approached a Delta aircraft staging for departure. Airport Police have taken him into custody and are conducting an investigation.”

Aguilar was charged with trespassing in the incident, police said.

Delta passenger Chad Ridgely tweeted a photo from his plane seat showing the handcuffed man being hauled away by cops.

“The view from our @Delta flight at LAX. A guy ran onto the runway and started doing push-ups,” Ridgely tweeted. “Swiftly apprehended by @LAAirportPD before he could transition to sprints.”

The runway was shut down for about 20 minutes and a mechanical check on the plane was performed before it was allowed to take flight.

“He got really close” to the plane, Pedregon told the Los Angeles Times, adding, “because of that, we had to have maintenance come out and do a quick security check and scan of the aircraft to make sure everything was in order before letting it depart.”
