Three bodies have been found at a California cemetery — in a case being investigated as a triple homicide, according to a report.

Police were called Monday to the Perris Valley Cemetery in Riverside County, where the bodies of three men were discovered near a gravesite, KTLA reported.

“One of them was hunched over, the other one was laying down and the other one looked like he … was wrapped up in a sleeping bag type,” Randy Rios told the news outlet.

Another witness said she saw two of the bodies on top of a grave.

“Very sad scene. Heartbreaking, I guess, because it’s a cemetery, and it’s a place of mourning and remembrance, and you come across something like this, it’s unheard of,” Maria Miranda told KTLA.

The sheriff’s department has not identified any of the victims and it was unclear how — or where — they died, the station reported.

Investigators are looking into whether the deaths could be tied to two fatal shootings earlier this month at a park and gas station in Perris, a city some 70 miles from Los Angeles.

Mayor Michael Vargas said in a statement that he was “heartbroken by the horrific crimes that have taken place today.”

He added: “We are confident our Sheriff’s office will handle this situation in a swift and professional manner and see the individuals who committed these crimes held responsible for their actions.”
