The 20-year-old son of a Republican House member was arrested over the weekend after allegedly tossing a cup of ice at a police officer while drinking at a Nashville bar.

Michael “Patton” Guest — the son of Mississippi Rep. Michael Guest, who serves as the chairman of the House Ethics Committee — was nabbed late Friday at Jason Aldean’s bar in downtown Nashville, WKRN reported.

A Metro Nashville police officer was supposedly on a patrol in front of the popular watering hole when a plastic cup full of ice fell from above and hit him on the foot shortly after 11 p.m., the outlet said, citing the arrest report.

When the officer looked up, he saw people at the rooftop bar pointing in the opposite direction.

Patton Guest, 20, was subsequently spotted on the surveillance cameras, which apparently captured him “intentionally” throwing the plastic cup, WKRN explained.

He was arrested at the bar with two alcoholic beverages in his hands, the outlet added.

The Mississippi State University student eventually admitted to throwing the drink while police were completing their paperwork, authorities said.

He also copped to drinking that night, despite being underage.

The young man – whose father also serves on Congress’ Law Enforcement Caucus – was charged with disorderly conduct, underage drinking and assaulting an officer, online jail records showed.

Patton’s bond was set at $2,500, and he was granted pretrial release ahead of his March 15 court appearance, the Washington Examiner said.

Congressman Guest’s office declined to comment on the incident.
