The House passed a $1.3 trillion spending bill on Thursday, sending the legislation to the Senate a day before a vote is needed to avert a government shutdown.
By a 256-167 vote, House members approved the plan that increases military spending, allocates $1.6 billion for President Trump’s wall on the Mexican border and funds infrastructure development.
The House unveiled the 2,232-page bill on Wednesday evening.
To avert another government shutdown, the Senate will have to OK the spending bill by midnight Friday.
The White House said Trump would sign the measure.
