A Houston hospital was being evacuated Sunday after flood waters seeped into the basement and wreaked havoc on the med center’s electricity, authorities said.
Patients at Ben Taub Hospital, the region’s largest trauma center, were being moved to other hospitals, though it wasn’t immediately how many would have to be transferred, said Harris County Judge Ed Emmett, the county’s chief administrator.
Patients listed in critical condition were the first to be moved.
