A shocking image posted by WBRZ shows the chopper, which was loaded on a trailer, lodged under the Interstate 12 overpass in Denham Springs after the Friday mishap on Range Avenue.

The craft’s rotor apparently struck a support beam on the underside of the bridge, which sits 15 feet above the road, according to signs along the route. 

The driver, Miguel Rodriguez, 56, of Texas-based International Machine Transport, was ticketed for careless operation, police said.

Officials did not release details about the whirlybird, but it appeared to resemble a Sikorsky S-92, which costs nearly $30 million, according to the news outlet.
