It rained purple on the Great White Way Thursday night.

After their performances, the Broadway casts of “Hamilton” and “The Color Purple” paid tribute to Prince, the beloved music icon who died on Thursday at 57.

On stage at the Richard Rodgers Theatre, Lin-Manuel Miranda and the actors of “Hamilton” went wild at curtain to Prince’s “Let’s Go Crazy.”

Meanwhile, after “The Color Purple,” Jennifer Hudson struck a more somber note while honoring her friend on stage at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre.

“I am not a speaker by any means, she said. “But I did not expect to have to speak on tonight, but God has his way.”

“His music will live on and he will live through his music. And we want to keep him alive today.”
