WASHINGTON — GOP presidential candidate Mike Huckabee Monday ripped the White House for inviting gay-rights advocates to meet with Pope Francis.

“President Obama’s classless decision to transform Pope Francis’ visit . . . into a politicized cattle call for gay and pro-abortion activists is an insult to millions of Catholics,” the Arkansas ex-governor said.

The administration invited retired gay Episcopal Bishop V. Gene Robinson, along with a “gay-positive” Catholic group, New Ways Ministry.
