The death toll from Tropical Storm Harvey rose to 28 on Wednesday, according to a report.

Another 17 suspected storm-related deaths have occurred in Harris County, Texas, which was devastated by catastrophic flooding that occurred throughout the state, CNN reported.

One woman was found floating in water in Beaumont on Wednesday — the second person to have died in that area.

A 3-year-old child was also found Tuesday shivering and clinging to the body of her dead mom, identified as 41-year-old Colette Sulcer, in Beaumont. Authorities said the tot is being treated for hypothermia.
