Hurricane Jose, which is trailing behind Hurricane Irma in the Atlantic Ocean, has strengthened to a Category 2 storm.

The National Hurricane Center announced Thursday afternoon that Jose had maximum sustained winds of 105 mph.

A hurricane watch has been issued for Antigua and Barbuda, which already suffered catastrophic damage when Irma passed directly over the tiny Caribbean island Wednesday.
