The cruel teen who pushed a pal off a 60-foot bridge in Washington state should be thrown in the slammer for the shove, the victim said Thursday.
Jordan Holgerson, 16, is still recovering from the six broken ribs, two punctured lungs and multiple internal injuries she sustained after being pushed off the bridge on the Lewis River in Yacolt on Aug. 7 by Taylor Smith, 18, in a prank gone awry.
“At first I didn’t really want Taylor to get into trouble, but now that I’ve thought about it more, I’m kind of wanting her to sit in jail and think about at least what she did,” Holgerson told NBC News.
Family friends griped that while Smith sent a text apologizing, she never went to visit Holgerson and was “going out as if nothing happened.”
But Smith told NBC she “feels really bad about what happened” and that she didn’t intend to hurt Holgerson.
The ailing teen is waving the apology off — saying it doesn’t change the fact that she nearly died.
“I kind of got mad because the rest of my summer’s gone and I’m probably going to be recovering for the rest of the school year,” she said. “I’m in a lot of pain.”
She added: “In the mornings it’s the worst, like it hurts to breathe. My side hurts. My shoulder hurts. I can’t even get up.”
The bridge in Moulton Falls Regional Park is a popular spot for daredevils, though there’s a sign prohibiting jumping and diving.
Holgerson said she had planned to try a jump but got scared when she realized how far the drop was.
A since-deleted clip shows the bikini-clad girl mumbling, “No, I won’t go” — right before someone, later identified as Taylor, shoves her forward.
