The grand beaux-arts hotel is a popular spot for visiting officials and luminaries, hosting former President Joe Biden during the APEC conference in 2023 and top-dollar fundraisers for politicians like Kamala Harris, who threw a ritzy fete last year with tickets costing up to $250,000.

It was packed with visitors around New Year’s Eve, workers said, but quiet Friday as staffers dismantled holiday decor including a life-size gingerbread house and bespoke lobby bar.

Jones was a “problem child” who ran into trouble with the law in the months before her death, sources told The Post.

She was known as a party animal in North Beach, a popular San Francisco nightlife spot packed with bars and clubs.

A bouncer at Vesuvio, a popular bar in the neighborhood, recognized her and said she had been 86’ed for being intoxicated and rude.

“I’ve not let her in before and she’d be like, ‘f–k you,'” he said.

Jones was reportedly found on the 14th floor after 3 a.m Thursday.

An official cause of death has not been released, but a law enforcement source said an overdose was likely.

“It was most likely fentanyl-related. People get all their drugs with fentanyl now,” the officer said. “They [drug dealers] have it on everything they measure with, everything gets laced.”
