Interior Department Secretary David Bernhardt reportedly tested positive for the coronavirus on Wednesday.

Bernhardt, 51, was tested in advance of a Cabinet meeting held by President Trump and did not attend, The Washington Post reported.

He is not symptomatic and will work remotely, Interior spokesman Nicholas Goodwin told the newspaper in a statement.

The secretary is “following all CDC guidelines and consulting with medical professionals as appropriate,” according to the spokesperson.

Bernhardt reportedly attended meetings with political appointees the last two days.

Last week, he was present at an event honoring former secretary Ryan Zinke that was also attended by numerous senators, the newspaper reported, citing Politico Playbook.
