A dog-hating Bulgarian man proudly boasted about a dog he killed — causing thousands to sign a petition that led to his arrest.

Photos posted to social media show the 31-year-old holding the dead dog by the tail while he sported a big smile and touts his “trophy.”

More than 7,229 people have signed a petition on YouSignAnimals.org asking authorities to charge him with animal abuse.

A local Bulgarian publication, front.bg, reported that he was arrested on Wednesday and charged with animal cruelty, which can result in a fine and five years in prison.
